Traffic on Jl. Jatinegara Barat will Be Diverted Temporarily

Traffic on Jalan Jatinegara Barat, Jatinegara, East Jakarta is diverted because Tongtek area is still inundated. Many of resident's vehicles and houses are inundated.

"Road is still inundated. So we divert traffic in Jalan Jatinegara Barat to Jalan Jatinegara Timur temporarily. When it has receded, traffic will be back to normal," explained Andreas Eman, Head Section of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub)'s Traffic, Tuesday (2/6).

Vehicles from Kampung Melayu into Matraman will be diverted which is usually passing on Jalan Jatinegara Barat, then it will be directed to Jalan Jatinegara Timur temporarily. On traffic light in front of Santa Maria School, vehicles will be directed to the right side.

"We deploy 70 personnel to control traffic diversion and unravel traffic congestion on the location," he mentioned.

Jatinegara Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Sadikin added, his side also deploys 30 personnel to help controlling the traffic and handling the flood. They will be focused on Tongtek bridge, Kampung Melayu.
